OAG to showcase its new booking tool at NBTA 2008
OAG Travel Solutions (www.oag.com), part of OAG (Official Airline Guide), the global flight information and data solutions company, will be showcasing the new pricing and booking feature of OAG Flights, the world’s most comprehensive online flight search service, at the annual NBTA 2008 International Convention and Exposition, 27-30 July at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Developed in partnership with nuTravel Technology Solutions, a leading provider of online travel reservation tools, this new online pricing and booking service uses nuTravel’s Corporate Travel Solutions (CTS™) software. It enables users to compare fares and book seats on most flights in the world, including many low cost carriers, as well as pricing and booking for hotel accommodation and car hire.
OAG has also partnered with WorldTek Travel Management, a top 25 travel management firm with more than 30 years of industry experience, for the fulfilment and ticketing.
David Rosen, managing director OAG Travel Solutions, said, “OAG Flights is not your average flight-booking tool. It lists all scheduled flights worldwide and is updated daily, so you can look up and view any flight, any time, anywhere. Now, once you’ve found a flight that best suits your needs, you can make a booking quickly and easily from a single source.”
Rosen continued, “OAG’s strength is providing the best information and travel planning tools available, using the same OAG database that keeps the global travel industry moving. Road warriors need to be prepared to cope with flight delays and cancellations, and OAG Flights is one of our core services that helps them stay in control when travelling by showing all the choices available, including live flight arrival and departure status. When the unexpected happens, you need to be prepared, know all the alternatives before you go and while you are en route so you can effectively ‘land with a plan’.”
For travelers who need instant access to flight information when on the move, OAG Flights2Go offers a complementary alternative for looking up flight schedules and flight status on your cell phone or PDA. “No matter where you are, OAG Flights2Go gives mobile access to up-to-the-minute flight information conveniently at your fingertips,” said Rosen.
“Travelers will find it indispensable for reviewing flight schedules between two airports, or saving valuable time by checking the status of a booked flight before turning up at an airport.”
Visitors to NBTA 2008 will be able to try out OAG Flights on the OAG booth (#426) and can take advantage of special promotions during the show with 50% off the regular subscription price of OAG Flights (making it just $7.99 a month) and a 40% saving on OAG Flights2Go.
OAG will also be giving demonstrations of its latest service for corporate travel managers and planners, OAG Travel Planner Pro. This new intelligent online tool is for people who need to search, plan and book complex itineraries quickly and efficiently. OAG Travel Planner Pro is intuitive and allows users to do everything from a simple look-up for flights, hotels, car rental, trains and destination information, right through the trip building and booking process, to checking flight status and printing off a full itinerary including appointment details.
“Travel planners who already use a travel management company can really benefit from OAG Travel Planner Pro,” said David Rosen. Once the planning is completed, they can then simply send their detailed travel plans to their TMC for booking and fulfilment. Travel agencies and TMCs are an important customer group for OAG, and we have already had a lot of interest from companies wishing to white-label Travel Planner Pro as a full-service option for their own clients.”
Rosen continued, “For individuals and companies who currently self-book, the product offers a booking and fulfilment service which will put them in control of their travel arrangements and make their lives easier. Now, with OAG Travel Planner Pro, they will have everything in one place in a really easy to use and intuitive online application for smarter travel planning.”
